Some kid gave her to me at a party I was at. She was in a little tiny plastic tank with an inch of water for 9 years. She was the size of a 50 cent piece. She didn't know how to swim and I had to gradually intorduce her to deeper water. I have her in an outdoor pond now and she is doing much better, but probably won't ever grow too big. She's only about 4 inches now.

wow, im going through the same thing with my sisters freind, she has a turtle in a 2ft tub, with about an inch of water, no uvb of heat and has had it for four years. sshe said she will try to do as i am instructing her, she cant rly afford the uvb/heat bulb setup so i told her to make sure to take the turtle outside for at least 15min a day to get some natural sunlight

It's so sad that people can buy these babies all over and don't know a thing about how to keep them. So many die because of this. Just to show you how small she is...this is a bird bath that I made into a tiny garden. In the picture I posted, which is a big close up, she is sitting on the log in the bird bath garden.
