Well, I went to visit family and help out a friend who's pregnant for a week, and somewhere in the insanity that ensued and plagued me the entire time, I managed to get under my Mom's house and get some goodies for Speedy and Shiloh. Now they have a filter! Whoo-hoo! And a stick!

But first, the huge tank my Mother has been wonderful enough to maintain for me for over a year now, and keep my pleco Sakana alive. When I move to a bigger place, this will be the turtles new home too.

Sakana, who started out under an inch and is now 13inches. This is why I'm more worried about the turtles than I am the pleco, I plan to put them together when I have space. Her head is as big as both my turtles combined right now. She's fat.

Mom thought more guppies would be too expensive, so I got her some goldfish. If she's putting all the work in the tank, she deserves some enjoyment from it. I don't know what'll happen to the goldies when I get the tank back . . .

New setup, same ol' 20gal! I added the filter, replaced the vases with actual aquarium decor, and put in a huge piece of grapevine I had but never used. They love that vine. Tried to eat it until they discovered they could climb it too. Oh yeah, and it's on a stand. Had soooo much fun packing everything in a suitcase to bring back on the train.

They like to sleep in the two curves in the vine. Sooo cute. And I catch them basking in different spots every day so far. They seem to be enjoying their new environment.

Thank you!!! I'm loving it. It's also moved from my bedroom, where I only go to sleep, to the living room behind my desk so I see them much more.

I like it much more than the 'dollar tree' look it had before, lol

I think those last 3 pictures are also videos

Thank you!

No, I actually hadn't put the lights on the tank yet. I wanted to watch the turtles swim around a bit and see if there was any danger spots that I needed to take care of before closing the tank up. Shiloh absolutely LOVES to squeeze herself into tiny spaces and it can take her a while to get back out of them.
