I have two turtles but Leonardo is definitely the most sociable of my turtles. He likes to be held and have his head & belly rubbed. :)

While skyping with my boyfriend, I was having Leo say "hi" when my boyfriend took a picture of us, haha.

I am relatively certain that particular turtle is a eastern painted, not a RES. A very nice looking one for that matter!
RES, Nicaraguan slider, Chinese Golden Thread, Northern DBT, Eastern Painted, Gibba turtle, Leopard tortoise, 3 Central American Woods, 2 Home's Hingeback tortoises, False Map, Northern Map, 2 Pink bellies, Reeves

I've been wondering myself if my turtles were truly RES because some pictures of them doesn't look like Leo and Sebastian at all... But when I bought them I was told they were Red Eared Sliders. I keep trying to find out for certain online but I think that lots of people get them mixed up... which just later confuses me more :P

PS: I just wasn't sure if maybe... they grow up with their shells looking completely different..? But, I'm happy that somebody finally said something about their species because I've been curious, haha.

That's a painted :) Honestly I think they are prettier then RES but don't tell Pickle I said that :)

Yeah, now that I have actually seen more of a real RES ;) I do have to admit that I love the coloring of my painted turtles.
