she's definitely a cutie :) I'm excited to see her new setup when you get the big tank ready

and btw a month or so ago when millie was at the vet he was told he's a bit overweight and ever since he's been swimming under his filter a lot, I think he thinks he's getting a workout from the resistance of the water :P hahahahahahahahahaha turtlercise.

thats so funny that she can still climb onto her atba after breaking her ramp. how long did it take for her to get used to the new atba and start basking? my turtle hasn't used my atba I built for him yet :( he just uses the ramp to sleep on.

don't forget to post pics of your 50 gal!! is it almost finished?

haha yea, i didn't expect to see her climbing up to the ATBA. i think she knew it was a new basking area because i took the old, ugly, & temporary ATBA out. it took her maybe a couple days to notice it once i put it on her tank. but that's when she broke the ramp when she tried to get up onto it. i guess that's when she figured she'd climb up instead :P. she also used to stay/sleep on the ramp of her old ATBA. when did you put in the ATBA & how old is you RES? it may just take some time for him getting used to it.

And i won't forget to post pics of my 50 gal. set up ;). it isn't done because the sand is settling & is taking a long time =/.

yeah boo for sand and how long it takes to settle! but it looks soo pretty once it does :)

crush is so funny- what a character! she REALLY was determined to get up there. my RES is almost 2 years old and is about 4". the atba was put into action Thursday or Friday, I forget, but about 2-4 days. I guess I just gotta wait

it does look pretty in everyone's tank! she must have really wanted to use her new ATBA :P. i'm sure your RES will find his/her way up to the ATBA. did you check if the ramp is too steep?
